Congratulations to our Student of the Month for October, Ian Simpson! He is in the Automotive Technology pathway!


Carpentry Level 2 students are proud of their work. They are showing off two of the four benches they built for the Career Center lobby.

Eighth grade tours kicked off last week when we welcomed Andrew Jackson Middle School to the Career Center! The 8th graders had the opportunity to tour the school and learn more about the programs we offer! We look forward to welcoming these students into the Phoenix Family in the future!










Law Enforcement Students recently completed their Crime Scene Investigation Unit. Hand-on skills included Crime Scene Processing and Sketching; Evidence Collection; Multiple Methods of Searching; along with Crime Scene Documentation. A great 1st half of the semester!










The Ambush Club held their 1st monthly presentation for the 25-26 SY on September 30. The topic was goal setting. The mentees shared their short and long term goals from last school year, plus created new goals to achieve using the SMART format. Thank you to Camp Creek United Methodist Church for providing our meal. We are thankful for your sponsorship!



Machine Tool Technology students have been working on two projects. They have made clocks and dice sets! These are available for purchase! If interested in buying one or both please email carlean.taylor@lcsd.k12.sc.us or call the school at 803-285-7404!



Students in Ms. Baker's Advertising class are recording video clips to use in a promotional video for the Career Center!

Our firefighting students are always learning new skills!


The Ambush Club volunteered their Saturday morning on September 20th at Camp Creek United Methodist Church to help beautify their recreational areas in preparation for their homecoming services. The Ambush Club is thankful for the invaluable partnership!. An outstanding day of service to the local community.




The District is experiencing internet and phone outages. Today's board planning workshop will be back online when service has been restored. An update will be posted when available.
Some of our students and teachers have been participating with LHS and their students in Spirit Week! Teacher/student swap day was a huge hit!


Carpentry students have been hard at work on the custom built fire training building!


It has been a busy start to a great year! Our welding students stay busy working on class projects!


Future entrepreneurs in action! Our cosmetology students pitched their very own shampoo creations in a Shark Tank-style competition, judged by fellow students and four special guest 'sharks'.
