The International Bodyguard & Security Services Association (IBSSA) recognized the LCSD Career Center as a Scholastic Training Center on Wednesday, September 11. The Career Center’s Law Enforcement Instructor, Mr. Heyward, invited the IBSSA Chairman as his first guest speaker, Mr. Karl L. de la Guerra. Mr. de la Guerra is also the founder and CEO of KDI Tactical Operations Training and KDI Protective Services. He was a wonderful guest speaker sharing his over 30 years of Law Enforcement and Executive Protection experience with all three classes. During his time, Mr. Heyward shared the curriculum and objectives set forth by the State of South Carolina and the workshop teaching model promoted by the Career Center to enhance hands-on learning for vocational careers. These touch points lead to the Career Center receiving the honor of being recognized as an International Bodyguard & Security Services Association Scholastic Training Center. A great day to be a Phoenix!
