Lancaster County School District has been in contact with Emergency Management. Lancaster County is currently under a flood watch. Due to potential flooding and hazardous conditions caused by Tropical Storm Debby, as a safety precaution, ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be closed on Thursday August 8, 2024. ALL events and activities are cancelled.
ALL open houses and orientations scheduled for August 8, 2024 are canceled and will be rescheduled.
We are so excited for Open House tomorrow! Please join us during one of our sessions 10-12 or 5-7. We will have a coffee truck on site from 8-12 for purchases if you would like to make a purchase.
We will implement the clear bag policy. Only school supplies will be allowed to come into the building tomorrow.
The office at Brooklyn Springs will be open today, Tuesday, August 6 from 12:30 to 3:00 due to staff meetings and floor waxing in the main office building. Please ring the doorbell at the front and an office staff member will come to let you in the side door. The lobby will be unavailable due to waxing.

4K and 5K will be on staggered entry the first week of school. All students will only attend 1 day Monday-Thursday, and then every child will attend full-time beginning on Friday. Your teacher will share your child's assigned staggered day with you at Open House on August 8 from 10-12 or 5-7.
Brooklyn Springs will hold Open House for the 24-25 school year tomorrow, August 8 from 10-12 and 5-7. Please join us for one of our sessions. Lighthouse Coffee Truck will be on campus from 8-12 on this day for purchases if you prefer.

Hello BSE! Here is a quick summer update.
--Chromebooks may be dropped off at BSE if they need repairs on Monday or Tuesday of next week from 8:00-3:00.
--Adminstration will be at district meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. We will be getting all of the new "Back-to-School" information for the 24-25 school year. You can expect a message from me at the end of next week regarding when teacher assignments will be posted for you in Power School, Open House details, etc.
--The first day of school is August 12. I will also send out our updated Parent/Student Handbook before this date. We have several changes this year to policies and procedures that will be important for you all to read through before starting.

Lancaster County Library Summer Reading Program
Beginning this summer, LCSD will phase out our current email/call communication system, Blackboard Connect. It will be replaced with Apptegy Alerts. Be on the lookout for communication from this new system and do not "delete" or "unsubscribe." Remember, this communication is from the school and the district, and lots of important information is shared through this email/call system.
